Hello,

After making a hole in a plasterboard wall and built a vault of 48 mm chipboard, I would like coat and the wall adjoining the vault to complete my work.
Is the inner coating (stucco style waxing) will hold the chipboard? how else do?

thank you

hello

I see nothing wrong with that you can book your plastering chipboard. Avoid, however, the moisture that could inflate the incidence chipboard and create a mess in your plaster

Good evening,

personally I prefer to put a sub-layer. But it also depends on your coat.

hello

Certainly! an under layer is not superfluous.

Good work

Thanks for your help and answers.

You advise me to post a sublayer.
An undercoat paint?

thank you in advance for your answers

Yes. This stabilizes the support (not necessary in your case), and makes the uniform porosity. In addition it facilitates the subsequent removal operations.

ok thank you for your advice.

Considering the small area that I have to do, I'll coat directly onto the chipboard..
