Good evening

the best way is to sand..

careful when sanding not to attack the scrap metal, otherwise they will all be bitten

Good evening,

Same, I do mine like that, they came out like new.
But I did not start the adventure: the rental price of sand, sand prices, dirt (sand is usually black), etc.. !

In fact there are several solutions.

Solution Builder:

1 - When stripping paint, you can try a mixture of wallpaper paste and caustic soda. Very effective on cellulosic and acrylic paint, less on varnishes and lacquers vitrified.

2 - Heatguns

3 - Karsh Me with optional sanding

Solution Pro

4 - Rent sand with medium grain and fine grain finish
count between 100 and 200 of the rent + 35 sandbag

5 - pickling and pressure washing. The products are very expensive (75/l) and extremely toxic.
The solution of lazy base (personal one I prefer)

6 - pickling bath with a professional, count between 10 and 30 per radiator (it depends on the surface to be cleaned), nickel result, fast and without any worries.

7 - Removing sandblasting from a pro, more expensive, longer, but the result is that hang over the surface particularly painting. For the price it is the time spent, the piece is bent over more expensive it
