Hello, My

DRC is based on a slab poured on a floor slab on basement and garage.
The house is 1980.
A crack 2m long is this//to a back wall of the garage by 2 m long. In wanting to drill a hole to make a false ceiling near a piece of slab block broke.
Beams show no signs of weakness.
How serious of this disorder?

Thank you, kindly

This is not your normal slab should not be cracked as you let us know, the solution is to reinforced by another beam, to avoid further damage, but this happens rarely, a lack of raw material for cement and the wrong dosage of Jean-Paul

Above all, it would be interesting to have a photo to better understand your problem. What are your facts slab? Terra cotta, concrete? The fact that a block has fallen, not so bad. should not it falls too much, but what makes the strength of the floor is above all the beams and reinforced concrete slab. the slabs are only for use in concrete formwork that is poured on it. If you need to drill more holes to fix the ceiling, make sure the slab is not cracked, then cover with plasterboard or other. If so, "repair" the map, for example to avoid taking the cap on his head, but the floor will not collapse.
Good luck
